for non-three-mode programs

OVERVIEW NON-THREE-MODE PROGRAMS

The Three-Mode Company occasionally develops programs for specific purposes unrelated to its main three-mode activities. Generally such programs serve a very specific purpose and were developed for specific needs of individual researchers. These programs are supplied to others free of charge in the hope that they might be useful in their data analysis. They may be freely distributed, provided always proper reference is given to the program and the author. Any comments on improvements and errors will be appreciated. Please send you comments to

MULTINOM

Multinom Icon

This program performs a chi-square goodness-of-fit test for a multinomial probability distribution against a known one. Single distributions may be tested or a complete set of rows of a contingency table.
More extensive notes are in the process of being written.

AsymTab

This program analyses asymmetric contingency tables, in particular it can perform

At present there are two versions of the program a pure DOS flavour which will also run under Windows3.* and a native Windows95 one. The latter version is still under construction and the windowing part is certainly not yet full proof. It is made available for testing purposes only. Both programs work largely identically as far as the analysis part is concerned, thus there are no differences in the results of the analyses. To accompany the program, a tutorial has been prepared, which will be published in Kwantitatieve Methoden an informal non-official journal. A zipped postscript file of this document may be downloaded: [ Download Tutorial]

FISHER

FISHER, a program for exact tests in contingency tables. It can compute (adjusted) residuals and several test statistics. The program is DOS-based, but has an easy input facility and has on-line Help. It has several features particularly useful for investigations into the behaviour of exact tests. Now available via The Three-Mode Company. The zipped file contains the program and the Manual.
